வாலிபனே! உன் இளமையிலே சந்தோஷப்படு, உன் வாலிப நாட்களிலே உன் இருதயம் உன்னைப் பூரிப்பாக்கட்டும்; உன் நெஞ்சின் வழிகளிலும், உன் கண்ணின் காட்சிகளிலும் நட; ஆனாலும் இவையெல்லாவற்றினிமித்தமும் தேவன் உன்னை நியாயத்திலே கொண்டுவந்து நிறுத்துவார் என்று அறி.

Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.

So freue dich, Jüngling, in deiner Jugend und lass dein Herz guter Dinge sein in deiner Jugend. Tue, was dein Herz lüstet und deinen Augen gefällt; und wisse, daß dich Gott um des alles wird vor Gericht führen.
